This will help you stop sabotaging yourself.

β€œ’For Elohim has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power and of love and of self-control.’

2 Timothy 1:7

I’ve been making some changes in my lifestyle recently. Namely with diet, exercise, and sleep. I always feel my best when I go to sleep early, wake up early, eat really clean, and get regular movement.

About 10 days ago, I decided to go back to a predominantly raw foods diet. Every time I go raw, or eat predominantly fresh, living plant foods, I feel more energy, become more productive, more creative, get more clarity, and have more peace of mind. Sounds incredible right?? So why don’t I stick with it for the long run??

Self sabotage is real. When you’re making a lot of changes at once, it can feel like you’re climbing a mountain. Especially if you try to do it on your own. So I’m just taking things one step at a time.

Meditating on the scriptures in this blog post has really been helping me with self-control. It’s only been 10 days but, Praise Yah, it’s going SO well. I’m not doing it on my own strength this time. Yah keeps bringing me back to this place for a reason. Eating this way makes me feel like the best version of myself. So I’ve decided to stop overcomplicating the matter, let go of my own ideas, and just trust in Him.

Whether you’re changing your diet, new to Torah, walking with Yah for the first time, or just trying to push yourself to get to that next level spiritually, whatever brought you here, I pray the scriptures shared will help you to gain more self-control. With Yahuah’s help, we can all stop sabotaging ourselves, be disciplined, and reach our goals.

β€œBecome strong in discipline, do not let go; Watch over her, for she is your life.

Proverbs 4:13

Let’s meditate on The Scriptures.

You can watch the video, or follow along with the scriptures quoted below.

β€œA man’s stomach is satisfied From the fruit of his mouth; He is satisfied with the increase of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those loving it eat its fruit.”

Proverbs 18:20-21 TS2009

β€œBe not among heavy drinkers of wine Or with gluttonous eaters of meat; For the drunkard and the glutton become poor, And slumber puts rags on a man.”

Proverbs 23:20-21 TS2009

β€œSo, then, we should not sleep, as others do, but we should watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But we who are of the day should be sober, putting on the breastplate of belief and love, and as a helmet the expectation of deliverance.”

1 Thessalonians 5:6-8 TS2009

β€œBut know this, that in the last days hard times shall come. For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of silver, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, thankless, wrong-doers, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, haters of good, betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim, having a form of reverence but denying its power. And turn away from these!”

2 Timothy 3:1-5 TS2009

β€œHe who ignores discipline hates himself, But he who listens to reproof gets understanding.”

Proverbs 15:32 TS2009

Proverbs 8:33 TS2009

β€œBlessed is the man who has found wisdom, And the man who gets understanding; For the gain from it is better Than gain from silver, And its increase than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all your delights are not comparable to her. Length of days is in her right hand, Riches and esteem in her left hand. Her ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those taking hold of her, And blessed are all who retain her.”

Proverbs 3:13-18 TS2009

β€œβ€œThe one steadfast of mind You guard in perfect peace, for he trusts in You.”

Isaiah 26:3 TS2009

β€œTrust in Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ” with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 TS2009

β€œAnd for this reason do your utmost to add to your belief uprightness, to uprightness knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control endurance, to endurance reverence, to reverence brotherly affection, and to brotherly affection love. For if these are in you and increase, they cause you to be neither inactive nor without fruit in the knowledge of our Master Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ©Χ’ Messiah.”

2 Peter 1:5-8 TS2009

β€œHe who is patient has great understanding, But he who is short of spirit exalts folly.”

Romans 12:2 TS2009

1 Corinthians 10:13 TS2009

β€œDo you not know that those who run in a race indeed all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to obtain it. And everyone who competes controls himself in every way. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we for an incorruptible crown. Therefore I run accordingly, not with uncertainty. Thus I fight, not as one who beats the air. But I treat my body severely and make it my slave, lest having proclaimed to others, I myself might be rejected.”

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 TS2009

β€œPut on the complete armour of Elohim, for you to have power to stand against the schemes of the devil. Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies.”

Ephesians 6:11,12 TS2009

β€œBe sober, watch, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in the belief, knowing that the same hardships are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”
