Your purpose. Yah’s plan.

Your purpose. Yah’s plan.

Do you ever wonder about what The Most High has in store for your life?

I’ve been thinking about Yah’s plans for me A LOT lately. If you’re already following me on Facebook (Just started a new page) You might have seen the personal story that I shared about how I decided to leave my depressing day job and – with my husband’s support and approval – do music and creative projects full time here at Set Apart Heart. (More music & motivation for YOU – Yay!)

It’s a huge leap of faith, but I know that if I don’t do this now, BEFORE we start a family, I may never have the opportunity to give my all to this purpose again. Is there anything in your life that you wish you could give more of your time to? Do you know what your spiritual gifts are? Do you feel like you could be doing more work for the kingdom? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Last weekend I went out for a long walk and I started thinking about where we are as a people, and how much healing still needs to take place from all the trauma of the last 400 years. I really wanna do something about it – even if it’s just through a few songs. I randomly took some pictures and video while I was thinking out loud. There’s also some music in the video for you. It’s “Let This Mind” from my album “Peace of Mind” I hope you enjoy the video, and that it inspires you to keep moving forward on your journey with Yah.

‘For I know the plans I am planning for you,’ declares יהוה, ‘plans of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and an expected end.

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 29:11

So next Friday will be my last day at my full time day job. I know that not everyone has the luxury of taking such a huge leap of faith – but tell me in the comments what you would like to be doing more of – regardless.

It’s ok if you’re not a signer or a speaker. Maybe you’d like to spend more time in prayer and really tune in to what Yah is guiding you to. Maybe it’s more time reaching out or listening to others who look like they need a listening ear? Maybe it’s something as simple as smiling at your neighbours? Or making an effort to reconnect with a long lost friend or someone in your family? If each one of us makes an effort to do something as a witness, a real live personal human being witness, we’ll be one step closer to the kingdom.

‘“You are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Ěl formed, nor after Me there is none.’ Yeshayah (Isaiah) 43:10

Let’s continue this convo in the comments below. It’s always great to hear from you – even if it’s just to say shalom 🙂 I’ll see you there.

Have you taken time to heal? Messianic Hebrew Music. “Healing Me”

Have you taken time to heal? Messianic Hebrew Music. “Healing Me”

How often do you take the time to make sure that what you are putting out into the world is in sync with what’s actually happening on the inside? Do you post smiling pictures on social media when you’re actually struggling inside? When people ask “How are you?” do you say you’re OK – when the truth is you’re actually not?

There’s a time and a place for everything. I firmly believe that.  And the reality is, most of us are wearing band-aids over our pain. For one reason or another, the band-aids keep getting torn off before we can fully heal. Sometimes we even tear the band-aids off ourselves, pretending like we never got hurt in the first place. I don’t know about you, but pretending to be happy is not good enough for me.

Life is more than digital. Have you taken time to heal? It is so easy to fool ourselves into believing that making videos, blog posts, and being present on social media is our sole purpose this digital world. It is not. Yes, these things can be used for good, but they are not the end all be all. Yahuah is looking closely at our hearts. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been living life with band-aids on. I’ve been doing so for a VERY long time. If I can be honest, likely since childhood. I’ll share the lessons I learn while I’m away when the next album is complete. But it’s going to take time. A significant amount of time. So I want to share this one song with you before I go. It’s called “Healing Me.” Leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post if it’s meaningful for you.

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings.” Malachi 4:2a

Life is not a race. Healing takes time. Living and learning takes time. And if we just keep running through life, we’ll reach the end and realize we’ve never actually lived. It’s the moments we spend living -breathing, praying, connecting, seeking – that become moments filled with meaningful lessons that we can share with the world.

I’ll be gone for a while, but I’ll be back. And while I’m gone I pray you will seek Yah’s healing in your life as well. As a nation we need healing, but first, as individuals, we MUST learn to submit to the will of Yahuah and walk it out by faith. We must look at the seeds in our heart that should not be planted there, and uproot them. Be it physical healing, or spiritual, whether we realize it or not, we all need Yah’s healing touch in our lives.

Let’s remember one another in prayer as we go through this life. There is healing in His wings, Mishpacha. Let’s keep on looking up and trusting in Him.

Passover Music. Let My People Go. Wade in the Water.

Passover Music. Let My People Go. Wade in the Water.

Last night during rehearsal, I decided to turn on the camera so that I could share some of the music with you. I hope you enjoy what came out of it! In the video below you’ll hear Let My People Go, and Wade in the Water.

Those two songs are actually my favorite Negro Spirituals. I really connect with them because they remind me of our experience and the truth of who we are. Whether we were consciously aware of our true biblical history at the time or not, the Exodus story was so close to our hearts as a people, that we saw ourselves in those scripture-based songs and identified closely with them. I believe we sang those songs like they were our own stories because they were, and still are, our own stories. The Bible is our history book and it’s so important for us to be conscious of that. Yahuah has been calling us back into His arms ever since the days of old. He’s been so faithful to us. Finally, we’re listening to His voice and coming back to Torah. Finally, we’re choosing to follow His ways. HallaluYah! Thank you Father for your mercy.

With the New Year upon us and Passover right around the corner, I love to think about new beginnings and how the Exodus Story applies to our lives today. Can you imagine how it would feel to leave behind the slavery of Egypt, and literally walk through the red sea on dry land? Talk about new beginnings! The Father was and still is committed to His people. Just like our ancestors, He wants to immerse us in living water, and prepare us to shine His Light of truth to the world. I pray that as you watch the video below, that you will take a moment to imagine what it could have been like to be there. Let’s prepare our hearts and minds, because soon and very soon, we’ll be wading in those waters once again, as Yahuah leads us all the way home.

“This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.”

Exodus 12:2 KJV

Happy New Year Mishpacha. I pray you enjoyed the video of Let my People Go and Wade in the Water. Before I go, I have to say thank you soooo much to all who have been supporting the new single, Heal our Land. I appreciate you more than you know. My prayer is that the music you find here at setapartheart.com will always be meaningful, and inspire you to stay close to the word of Yahuah.

Leave a comment below if you’re ready for new beginnings! Let’s stay humble and continue to pray as Yahuah prepares our hearts and leads us all the way home. I’ll see you in the comments below.

New Single. Heal Our Land. Scripture Challenge.

New Single. Heal Our Land. Scripture Challenge.

HEAL OUR LAND. When we look around at what’s happening in the world today – without a doubt I’m sure we all can admit that our land, and our nation, is in desperate need of healing. The curses in Deuteronomy 28 are visible now much more than ever before, and we need to be restored to Yahuah. But in order for us to be restored and healed collectively as a group, individual people like you and me, have to make it a priority to allow our personal pain and hurts to heal as well.

Over the past year of my life, I made a conscious effort to take a lot of quiet time alone with Yahuah. Much more quiet time than usual. I did this to in order to create space for the healing to begin. I want to invite you to do the same. At least for the next 7 days.

Healing and restoration is a reoccurring theme in the scriptures. Today I just want to focus on 2 Chronicles 7:14. Let’s do a scripture challenge. This passage has become very meaningful to me because it literally outlines the healing process. I wrote and recorded a new song based on this scripture. It’s called, “Heal our Land” And it will be available for you right here on Thursday, Feb 8, 2017.

Before the new single comes out, I thought it would be meaningful to just focus on the passage of scripture together, and share more about the impact this verse can have in our lives. In the video below I invite you to focus on this passage with me over the course of the next 7 days. And you’ll see the details for this challenge just below the video. Take a few minutes to watch it. And leave a comment below to let me know if you’re in on the challenge or if the video was meaningful for you.

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

7 day Scripture Challenge.

  • Take 5 mins every morning to repeat 2 Chronicles 7:14  to yourself.
  • Say it out loud and memorize the words.
  • Internalize the words.
  • Take your time and let the words run deep.
  • Allow the Word of Yahuah to come inside of you and overflow to the rest of your life.
  • You will have more peace of mind, more calmness, and assurance…
  • You will feel more connected to your Creator, and be more conscious of His authority in your life.

If you’re not in a place where you can watch the video above, or you’re looking for the scripture references i mentioned in the video, read through the rest of this blog post. The steps for healing in 2 Chronicles 7:14 are discussed below.

STEP ONE: Recognize who you belong to.

Before any healing can take place, we have to become conscious and recognize not only who we are as individuals, but whose we are, and who we belong to.  The verse starts out by saying “If MY people…” We are the people of Yahuah. We are not our own. We can’t even breathe a single breath without Yahuah. That means our very lives exist because He exists, and the plan for our lives is in HIS hands. Sometimes we get frustrated when things don’t go the way we had planned. But if we stop and recognize that Yahuah is in control, and His plans are greater than ours because He is all-knowing, we should then be able to accept that Yah only wants what is for our good. As we submit to His will instead of battling to have our own, healing can begin.

Before moving on I have to emphasize that the verse says- His people are called by His name. What is His name? Is it just the four Hebrew letters? We know that names are identifiers. They signify character and authority. When we align ourselves with the name of Yahuah, we have to make the conscious choice not only to accept his authority but his character traits as well.  So if you’re standing on the street shouting at people, tearing them down with your words, you have to ask yourself, is that the character of Yahuah? Is that the spirit of Yah?  Choosing to embody the character traits of Yahuah is so vital to the process of healing and restoration.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustworthiness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no Torah.

Exodus 34:5-7

And Yahuah came down in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the Name, Yahuah. And Yahuah passed before him, and proclaimed, Yahuah, Yahuah, an El merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished; visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, to the third and to the fourth generation.

Click the arrows on the passages above for glimpses of the character traits of Yahuah.

STEP TWO: Be Humble and Pray

A humble heart is one of the most beautiful things in the world. It allows for introspection, self-reflection, personal, and spiritual growth. Pride, on the other hand, gets in the way of all that. Sadly many of our people who become conscious of who they are, after years of oppression and pain, remain in their natural flesh and become filled with anger and pride. I am seeing way too much of this. And it sincerely pains me inside. When will we recognize that there is a difference between walking in the power and authority of Yahuah, and boasting with selfishness, hatred, and pride? Yahuah said, “Vengence is mine.” He will repay.

Deuteronomy 32:35

Vengeance is Mine, and repayment, at the time their foot slips; For near is the day of their calamity, and the matters prepared are hastening to them.

Romans 12:19

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Yahuah.

To see scripture references from both new and old, click the down arrows on the verses above.

Healing cannot happen until we humble ourselves and pray. When truth is revealed, it should cause us to realize that it’s only by Yah’s mercy and his loving-commitment that we have not been stricken dead for transgressing His ways. When we speak with others about the truth, we need to remember where we came from just a short little while ago. We need to seek Yahuah’s face and reflect His light.

STEP THREE: Let Forgiveness and Healing flow.

The reality is this:  The people who have hurt us in the past, both collectively and as individuals, will not always become humble. Most will not seek His face nor turn from their wicked ways. Most will continue to attempt to hurt us over and over again. Now consider this: How does Yahuah react toward us when we continuously hurt Him? Just consider that for a moment….

Yahuah is so merciful that when we hurt Him, He simply steps aside, and He lets us choose to live the way we want to live – consequences and all. He simply sets himself apart. In the same manner, we can choose to be set apart- to literally choose to step away from all situations, relationships, and circumstances that are bringing us hurt, anger or pain. Click the down arrow to read the Psalm below for inspiration.

Psalms 5:3,4

O Yahuah, in the morning You hear my voice; I present myself to You in the morning, and I look up. For You are not an El taking delight in wrong, nor does evil dwell with You.

It’s only when we choose to put the pain and anger aside that we will begin to heal. It’s called forgiveness. And it’s one of the hardest pills to swallow – I know. But if Yahuah can forgive us for all that we have done to Him, simply because He sees that we have willingly made the choice to become humble, to pray, to seek his face, and turned from our wicked ways…. how then can we not forgive those who have the same spirit as well? Just consider how great is Yah’s loving-commitment is toward us, that He would forgive us, and heal our land.

I pray that we will all take time to internalize the message of 2 Chronicles 7:14 for the sake of ourselves, our nation, and our land.  Leave a comment below if this message was meaningful for you. If you’re going to join together with me and meditate on this passage for the next 7 days, leave a comment saying “I’m in.”

I’ll see you right here on the blog for the release of my new single “Heal Our Land” on Thursday, Feb 8, 2018.

Much love,

-Hadarah BatYah.

Making new music. A look behind the scenes.

Making new music. A look behind the scenes.

Hi, it’s Hadarah. Hope you enjoyed Shabbat and that your week has gone well. It’s been a while since my last blog post – so I just wanted to share some of what’s been happening behind the scenes with you. I’ve been making new music for you!

It’s been quite the adventure cause I’m doing things a little bit differently this year. You’ll hear all about it in the 3 min video below. There’s also a sneak peak of my new single “Heal our Land” which will be released in February, 2018.

I pray it will be meaningful for you and that you’ll enjoy the video below.

For the last three years in a row I’ve done all my recordings at a professional studio. Doing that means I can only record once a year, because it literally takes the whole year to recoup all the expenses. My prayer is that investing in my own equipment will allow me to record more music more frequently, and share more inspiration with you. It’s taking me a while to adjust to doing things in this way, but prayerfully as the ball gets rolling, it will just keep rolling, and new music will be more of a regular thing. I know you all are here for music!

After this new single comes out in February, my goal is to release a full album in the Spring. After the new album comes out, I’d like to bring back the scripture challenges we used to do. I’ve heard from many of you in real life and via email that you miss doing those challenges all together here on the blog, and I do too. I miss connecting with you.

I just want to give thanks to Yahuah for never letting me go. He places these songs on my heart to share with all of you, and it often brings tear to my eyes when I realize the impact of Him choosing to do so.

I wanna be real with you – sometimes I honestly feel like it would be easier to just not share anything at all. But that’s not Yahuah’s will. He wants me to give Him my all. And He gave these gifts to be used -and to be an encouragement for you.  It’s a privilege to know that you’re even spending time here on the blog. I enjoy connecting with you, and I’m grateful to be able to share this new leg of my journey with you. So much healing has and is taking place in my life over the last year, and I pray the music and motivation that comes out of it all will be healing for you as well.

Leave a comment below and share your thoughts on the new single that’s coming out in February. Hopefully you enjoyed the sneak peek.  I shared it on instagram last night, and the feedback was really positive. It warms my heart to know that this music is meaningful for you. I will always be grateful for all your support.

Sending peace and love to you my friend! I’ll see you in the comments below.

He will make a way. New Hebrew Music. Audio Stream

He will make a way. New Hebrew Music. Audio Stream

Yahuah gave me a surprise this week. I want to share a piece of that experience with you. I went to the lake for a walk this shabbat expecting to see it still frozen. I just assumed that since it’s February and I’m in Canada, that there wouldn’t be much activity on the water yet. Lo and behold, when i got to the lake, there were ducks, and geese, and even swans bubbling around- and it was soooo beautifuuuuul. Just goes to show that life doesn’t always turn out the way you expect it.

Every time I go to the lake or for a nature walk on shabbat it makes me think of my wonderful Creator. It makes me think of how HE is in control – and how I’m not. I just can’t help but think of His almighty power when i’m surrounded by the work of His hands.

Along with the music in today’s video, “He will make a way”  from the new album Peace of Mind, you’ll see footage from springtime, summer, winter, and fall. I keep everything on my phone so I can make special things like this for you. I pray it inspires you, and reminds you that no matter what season of life you are in, Yahuah, by His almighty powerful hand, surely can, and will, make a way.

Happy watching. Enjoy the video. I’ll meet up with you down below in the comments.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43:19

Is there anything weighing on your heart right now where you need Yahuah to make a way for you? Or do you have a testimony you could share of a time when Yah worked a miracle for you? Share your thoughts in the comments below…. Remember, we’re all in this together.

I know I need Him everyday in more areas than one. Sometimes there are circumstances I really struggle to understand. But every time I find myself in times like these, I remember Yahuah’s promises. His Word brings me peace of mind. He says – Don’t look back. I’m about to do something new. Look up – your redemption draweth nigh… (Luke 21:28)

Share this post with a friend if you enjoyed it – plus you never know who might need some extra sunshine in their life. I’ll see you in the comments my friend. Leave a prayer request or a praise in the comments below – let’s connect.
